Where DACH Lead Database data comes from — methodology and sources

A deep dive into the registries, public filings, and verification pipelines powering DACH Lead Database. Sales leaders running outbound into DACH deserve to know exactly what they're paying for.

Most B2B data vendors are vague about sourcing. "We use proprietary technology and public web data" is the standard hand-wave. We think sales leaders deserve to know what they're paying for — especially in DACH, where data quality varies enormously between countries and providers.

The DACH data pipeline

DACH Lead Database is built on three layers, in this order:

  1. Public business registries. Every DACH country runs a state-operated business registry — Handelsregister, KVK, Companies House, Registrų Centras, etc. These are the source of truth for "is this company active and registered."
  2. Public filings + corporate updates. Annual reports, board appointments, address changes, ownership changes — published as official gazette entries or open-data feeds.
  3. Verification + enrichment. Email verification (SMTP-level), phone validation, LinkedIn URL matching, technology stack detection, hiring signal aggregation.

Country-by-country sourcing

Per-country, here's exactly what we pull from where:

  • Germany (🇩🇪): 5.3M+ companies, 3.7M+ decision makers — sourced from the official business registry, enriched with verified emails and direct phones
  • Austria (🇦🇹): 3.3M+ companies, Coming Q3 2026 decision makers — sourced from the official business registry, enriched with verified emails and direct phones
  • Switzerland (🇨🇭): 780K+ companies, 1.4M+ decision makers — sourced from the official business registry, enriched with verified emails and direct phones

Coverage varies by country — for newer additions to the DACH dataset, decision-maker enrichment lands in Q3 2026. Country pages show live counts.

Email verification methodology

Every DACH email goes through SMTP-level verification before landing on a record. We re-verify the entire DACH dataset on a rolling weekly schedule. Across the live DACH dataset, 97% of emails return as deliverable or catch-all-safe.

Crucially: when a DACH contact changes job, we flag it on the record. Other vendors quietly let stale emails accumulate; we surface the staleness so your reps don't waste touches.

What's not in our data

To be clear about scope:

  • We don't sell scraped LinkedIn profiles. Every contact is anchored to a real DACH business registry record.
  • We don't sell consumer data. DACH Lead Database is B2B-only, every contact has a corporate email or business phone.
  • We don't sell intent data sourced from third-party tracking pixels. The "signals" we surface (hiring, funding, tech adoption) come from public sources.

Compliance posture

Every record in DACH Lead Database is sourced from public business records — legitimate-interest grounds for B2B outreach under GDPR. Source trail is preserved on every record. We honour opt-outs within 24 hours. Every DACH country we cover, we comply with locally.
